Aims & Objectives

Aim:

To investigate the feasibility of utilising a hydrogen buffering scheme for a wind farm located in a remote Scottish location and a central Scottish location.

Objectives:

1. To try to overcome the variable and unpredictable problems associated with wind power:

* By better matching supply with demand for a weak grid scenario and

* By smoothing the output of electricity for a strong grid scenario.

2. Assess the technical aspects of the project and prove the technical feasibility.

3. Ascertain if the project is financially viable and if it is not, what would it take to achieve this?

4. Explore the potential of Hydrogen for use in transportation.
